His full name, Imam Al-Hafizh Al-Mutaqin Abu Bakr Ahmed ibn Al-Hussein ibn Ali ibn Musa Al Khusrujardi Al-Baihaqi, was a great scholar of Khurasan (a small village on the outskirts of Baihaq) and the author of many famous books.

His persistence in studying was in the knowledge of several notable scholars such as; Iman Abul Hassan Muhammed ibn Al-Hussein Al Alawi, Abu Tahir Al-Ziyadi, Abu Abdullah Al-Hakim, author of "Al Mustadrik of Sahih Muslim and Sahih Al-Bukhari", Abu Abdur-Rahman Al-Sulami, Abu Bakr ibn Furik, Abu Ali Al-Ruthari of Khusran, Halal ibn Muhammed Al-Hafaar, and Ibn Busran.

Known Zuhud

Imam Baihaqi gathered hadith from various reliable sources. Productive writing 

In addition to teaching, he also actively wrote books. He is in a row of prolific book writers. It is thought that his books reached a thousand volumes. Among the works of Baihaqi, as-Sunnan al-Kubra published in Hyderabat, India, 10 volumes in 1344-1355, became the most famous work. This book has received the highest honors.
