Baiturrahman Grand Mosque
ACEH is rich in history, if you visit Aceh in Banda Aceh, you will find many tourism objects that can amaze you. Here are 7 objects you should visit when you are in ACEH.

Baiturrahman Grand Mosque

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman is the main symbol of the city of Banda Aceh located south of the River Krueng Aceh. The mosque with a tower as high as 35 meters with 7 domes is most visited by people and tourists outside.

Masjid Raya Baiturrahman was built in the reign of Sultan Iskandar Muda in the period 1607-1636, which is very active in developing Islamic religious teachings within the territory of Aceh Kingdom. Historically, the mosque was once used as a base and defence place for the Aceh war forces against the Dutch colonial government.

The Grand Mosque of Baiturrahman is also a silent witness of the Tsunami wave on 26 December 2004 ago.

ACEH State Museum

ACEH state Museum is a tourist attraction you should also visit because it holds the culture of "Rencong land" in the past.

In this Museum there are ancient goods such as ceramics, weaponry and other cultural objects such as traditional clothes, jewellery, calligraphy, household and so on.

Lonceng Cakra Donya
On the front page of the ACEH state Museum, there is also a large bell called "Lonceng Cakra Donya", a gift bell from the emperor of China for the kingdom of Pasai delivered by Admiral Cheng Ho in the year 1414. The bell was a testament to the success of the Aceh kingdom in the past.

Located on the street of Iskandar Muda, Banda Aceh. The Museum still holds many memories that never escaped from Aceh. If there you will see the debris of memories stored in the photos, sound recordings to the structure of the building that is designed M. Ridwan Kamil.

PLTD Floating
PLTD Floating
PLTD Floating is a monument of PLTD (Diesel power plant) floating in Punge village, Blancut, Banda Aceh. The vessel with a length of 63 meters is able to produce 10.5 megawat. It reaches 1,900 square meters and weighs 2,600 tons. Nobody can imagine this ship can move to the middle of the city.

When the stunami occurred on the 26th of Desenber 2004, the vessel was dragged to a 9 meter high tide, which shifted to the heart of Banda Aceh by 5 kilometers. The ship was crashed into the midst of the residents ' settlements.

Gunongan

It was the symbol and love power of Sultan Iskandar Muda to the empress. A beautiful princess from the kingdom of Pahang, Malaysia.

The six-square-shaped buildings resemble flowers and three-storey, with the main level of the crown being constructed in the 16th century (1607-1636). On the wall there is a low-sized entrance that is always in a cursed state. From the hallway there was a ladder to to the third level of Gunongan.

The park was part of the offering of Sultan Iskandar Muda to the Empress of Pahang, Malaysia. Earlier in 1613 and in 1515 the Navy and ACEH Darussalam government succeeded in conquering the Kingdom of Johor and the Kingdom of Pahang in the Malay Peninsula.

The Castle of Indra Patra

This fortress became one of the historical evidence as a place of defense of the Lamuri Kingdom of the Portuguese attack. The fort is located near the port of Krueng Raya facing the Straits of Malacca.

The fortress has a square shape of about 70 square meters, with a height of 4 meters and a sturdy wall with a thickness of about 2 meters. With its unique shape there are small aisle rocks made of lime concrete.
